Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Welcome to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional transfer driver and briefer. After a short briefing about your journey ahead, you will be escorted to your comfortable transfer vehicle stocked with chilled bottled water for your refreshment.  Head towards Arusha town, where you will check in at your lodge. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and unwind after your international journey while soaking in the peaceful surroundings of your beautiful lodge.

Day 2: Arusha National Park Adventure

After breakfast, depart for an exciting day trip to Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic and diverse parks. It offers magnificent views of Mount Meru, beautiful forests, open grasslands, flamingo-filled lakes, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and a variety of birdlife. Activities include: Horse Riding Safari, Momella Lakes Canoeing Experience, Guided Walking Safari, Light Game Drive, Picnic Lunch in the Park. In the afternoon, return to Arusha and spend the evening relaxing at your lodge.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park & Mto wa Mbu Experience

Following breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its huge elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and rich wildlife concentrations. Enjoy a classic game drive through the park with picnic lunch boxes served within the wilderness.

In the afternoon, continue to the vibrant town of Mto wa Mbu where guests can interact with the local community and explore various optional activities including: Local Village Tour with Traditional Local Lunch Experience, optional choose a Banana Plantation Tour or Zipline Adventure. Later proceed to Manyara for an evening game drive before heading to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Leisure Day in Karatu

After breakfast, depart for the lush highlands of Karatu. Today is intentionally designed as a day of relaxation, allowing you to recharge and enjoy the exceptional facilities of your lodge. Which includes: Swimming Pool, Spa Treatments (Optional), Scenic Gardens, Nature Walks Around the Lodge or Quiet Time to Relax and Rejuvenate.

Day 5: Lake Eyasi Cultural Experience

Today offers a fascinating cultural journey to Lake Eyasi. This full-day cultural experience provides an authentic and memorable perspective on Tanzania beyond wildlife. You will get to experience and participate in the traditions and life style of Tanzania’s most distinctive indigenous communities. Return to Karatu in the afternoon.

Hadzabe Tribe: Meet one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in Africa and gain insight into their traditional way of life.

Datoga Tribe: Interact with the Datoga people, renowned for their blacksmithing skills, traditional crafts, and rich cultural heritage.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Enjoy an early breakfast before ascending into the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After a short drive, descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as Africa’s Eden and one of the most wildlife-rich destinations on Earth. The crater floor hosts an extraordinary concentration of animals and abundant bird and aquatic life. Enjoy your lunchbox at the picturesque Hippo Pool Picnic Site before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later return to Karatu for relaxation and dinner.

Day 7: Scenic Journey to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, begin your journey toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. Travel through the stunning landscapes of the Ngorongoro Highlands while enjoying wildlife sightings along the way. Arrive in Central Serengeti where endless plains stretch to the horizon, creating one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before settling into camp.

Day 8-9: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring the magnificent Serengeti ecosystem. The Serengeti is home to unparalleled wildlife concentrations and offers remarkable opportunities to witness predator-prey interactions in their natural environment. Activities may include: Sunrise Game Drive, Wildlife Photography Opportunities, Search for the Big Five, Bush Breakfast Experience, Sundowner Experience, Happy Hour at Camp, Campfire Storytelling Under the African Sky

Day 10: Departure Day

After breakfast, transfer to the nearest airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha Airport. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your international departure flight. As your journey comes to an end, we hope you leave Tanzania with unforgettable memories, incredible photographs, and a deep appreciation for the people, wildlife, and landscapes that make this country truly special.

Optional Seasonal Extension – Ndutu Calving Season Safari

Available during the Great Migration Calving Season (approximately December – March). Instead of spending three nights in Central Serengeti, guests may proceed directly from Ngorongoro Crater to the renowned Ndutu Area in Southern Serengeti. This region hosts hundreds of thousands of wildebeest during calving season and offers one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife experiences and excellent opportunities to witness newborn wildebeest and dramatic predator-prey interactions.

Important Safari Reminder

For your comfort during the safari, we recommend packing:

  • Neutral coloured clothing (khaki, green, brown, beige), Lightweight long-sleeved shirts, Comfortable safari trousers, Warm fleece or jacket for cool mornings.
  • Comfortable walking shoes, Hat or cap, Sunglasses, Sunscreen, Insect repellent, Personal medication, Light rain jacket.
  • Camera and binoculars
  • Small Aircraft Luggage Restrictions: For the domestic flight between national parks and towns. Maximum baggage allowance: 15 kg (33 lbs) per person this includes hand luggage and camera equipment.
  • Soft-sided duffel bags are required.
  • Hard-shell suitcases are not permitted on most safari aircraft.
  • Excess baggage may incur additional charges or may require separate arrangements.
